2023 Canberra Trip Expressions of Interest
This form is collecting details of students who are interested in attending the Canberra Trip from Monday 17 July to Friday 21 July 2023. 

St Patrick's College students in Years 10, 11 or 12 who are studying Legal Studies, Economics, History, Geography in 2023 are eligible to apply and they or their parent/guardian are invited to complete this form. The person who completes the form will be added to a list to receive further details as planning progresses. 

When:  Monday 17 July to Friday 21 July 2023

Why:  This trip is designed to complement study in the Legal Studies and History areas in particular but not to the exclusion of others.

Cost: Approximately $1600.00 per student. The College will qualify for a subsidy, which will come off this price. We may also be able to undertake some fundraising. 

The tour package will include:

  • Return flights Launceston – Canberra

  • Canberra coach transport throughout the tour

  • 4 nights’ accommodation at Ibis Styles Canberra Resort

  • All meals starting with dinner on day 1 through to lunch on day 5

  • All linen and towels

  • Entry fees to:

    • Australian National Botanical Gardens

    • Australian Institute of Sport

    • Museum of Australian Democracy

    • Australian War Memorial – 1 hr educational program

    • National Archives of Australia

    • Questacon – National Science and Technology Centre

  • Students will also visit:

    • Parliament House

    • Electoral Education Centre

    • National Portrait Gallery

    • High Court of Australia

    • National Museum of Australia

    • Government House

    • National Gallery of Australia

    • Reconciliation Place

    • Mt Stromlo Observatory

Students – if you are interested in attending the Canberra Trip 2023 you must complete this Expression of Interest form and submit by March 4 2023.

Once approved, a deposit will need to be paid to Accounts in order to secure your place on the trip.
